Research data management (RDM) is often perceived as a very theoretical construct artificially added to research activities. We would like to change that view on RDM!

With this goal in mind, NFDI4Ing’s Community Meeting of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (CC41) will take place online on July 25, 2024, from 09:00 to 15:00 CEST. Under the title "Paths and Perspectives on RDM in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering featuring Archetype Frank" concrete case studies are presented, highlighting research projects and their corresponding RDM implementations.

Additionally, we will showcase general RDM solutions and applications for researchers from various domains, including engineering, computer science and library management. Discussions allow the audience to raise issues, generate ideas, or even present research projects shortly, asking for RDM advice. Consequently, the event provides an exceptional opportunity for professionals to collaborate and for newcomers to seek assistance with their RDM challenges.
