This two-day, four-hour workshop focuses on preparing and submitting data to PANGAEA in accordance to requirements for FAIR and sustainable data publishing. In a combination of theoretical units and hands-on exercises, this workshop is dedicated to best practices in data management, recommended steps to prepare your data to support a smooth publication process, and a behind-the-scenes look at related PANGAEA workflows and services.

How: Since the practical exercises can only be supervised effectively if the number of participants is not too large, we have to limit the number of active participants to 20 for the practical elements of the workshop. Participants beyond this limit are of course welcome to follow the exercises as spectators (and e.g. do them for themselves), but will not be able to interact with the lecturers during that time, unfortunately.
You can indicate your interest in actively participating in the exercises by selecting the appropriate option during pre-registration. Available slots will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. In case registered participants drop out, free slots will be allocated on the spot in the order of registration.
